before i get into this months album i want to say that i totally mixed up the covers of the last one. the album i was talking about was indeed the last one from Au Revoir Simone, but the cover i uploaded was the one from the remix album, which is pretty shite. changed that today as you can see below. before chosing the one for August i already had one in my mind, but unfortunately not every artist (in this case Ty) is able to keep up the good work. artists who definitely always exceed the expectations are The Arcade Fire. i have been waiting for their next album for so long and here it is. brilliant as or even better than its predecessors. what, you never heard of them before? shame on you and run to get this and the older ones. they are worth every penny. and if you accidently have them playing at a place near you…..i don’t really have to say this, do i? Enjoy!

As usual, listen here by using the below player or download with the link. If you know people who might be into the sound, don’t hesitate forwarding the link - and leave feedback here as well if you like. See you soon, as i need to finish the new August mix within the next two weeks before the best time of the year begins…..holidays!

The latest album by Au Revoir Simone is some nice piece of electronic pop. Some might have stumbled over this artist last year when the remixers of the moment Aeroplane had created an amazing rework of “Friendly Fires - Paris” featuring Au Revoir Simone. Believe me it is worth a try, i really enjoyed it!

Wowowow. Just in time delivery. I had so much work in June and also been away for quite a few trips that i couldnt make it earlier, but finally managed to get some tunes together after what was - musically - one of the greatest weekends i ever had: Glastonbury Festival. I had never been there before and didn’t know what to expect and it didn’t disappoint but exceeded my expectations by far. Just go there and i think you will never have to visit another festival (my opinion) again. Anyway, the summer is here and i hope you enjoy some deep and dancy bits and pieces in the following mix. Looking forward to your feedback, take care and see you all soon (damn, already July tomorrow…pressure’s on me).

DJ Sprinkles - House Music Is A Controllable Desire You Can Own
Daniel Stefanik - One
Rene Breitbarth - We Like The Style
Anthony Collins - Une Recontre Pas Banale
Leif - Priority (Ethyl & Flori Remix)
Spectacle - Prism
Motorcitysoul - Mbali Mbali (Jerome Sydenhams Dubstrumental)
Andreas Saag - Adaptions
San Soda - Hot Zwarte Kanon
Quarion & Session Victim - Pepper Candy
John Daly - Aurora

it has just been a few days since my last mix but i thought i better get back to the old time lag. i already had stored a few new disco-ish tunes for a while that i wanted to use in a new mix, but wanted to keep the deep vibe to it as well. well it’s probably much easier than that. i just compiled what i thought would fit together and makes sense in the final arrangement - don’t let the tempo fool you though. the cover shot is actually from two days ago just around the corner of my house, where some pseudo-political-hooligans used another 1st of may to destroy stores, cars and cause riots with the police - obviously not in their area but in ours. a pretty useless bunch if you ask me. as the mix is intended to be a much happier subject, please enjoy, leave feedback, come back here next month. i hope everyone is well and the summer is finally about to begin.
