Another month, another mix. Sonar festival is over and it was awesome - truely recommended to all people interested in electronic music. The obviously stunning city of Barcelona with its numerous clubs and the beach offers the perfect setup for the event and its various parties. Especially the free parties on the beach are amazing as the downside of the whole thing is that clubs sometimes charge ridiculous fees. Nevertheless an impressive weekend which ideally should have been extended to a week of Ibiza or Formentera but it wasn’t possible this year - the result of this inspiring trip was this mix as it reflects the kind of style i was always into the most and which was heard the most down there. Stimming - Reflections

Martin Stimming is a relatively young local producer/DJ from my hometown Hamburg and this is his first album - released on the also Hamburg-based label Diynamic. After having listened to most of their releases since being founded and knowing about their general quality i am not surprised this album is another high performance output. Though you are able to recognize a certain style in all 11 tracks they also vary and make the whole a very enjoyable piece of electronic music. Definite highlight is the vocal tune ‘The Loneliness’ in which - next to all others - you clearly notice this producers talent.
