Brrr…it has been awfully rainy this month in Hamburg and it doesn’t seem to get better. But the cold has had some good effects as well. More and more quality parties and people in the clubs. Especially as Hamburg finally seems to have gotten a quality club with the newly opened EGO run by the DIYNAMIC label. We had a great night there with Julius and some other guys from an evenly recommendable place in Hamburg, in case you fancy quality electronic music preferably on vinyl - Smallville Records. This months mix turns back the time for with a return to some deeper yet melodic stuff to dance to and i hope it proves once again that a proper groove to dance to is the least about the BPM. Somewhere between Indie and Folk i would put the new album by Florence And The Machine. I happened to know only one remix by Leo Zero for a tune called ‘Rabbit Heart’ but the voice was something to keep in mind, so when i read the band would play an intimate gig in Hamburg i had to go and see what the interesting reviews were all about. Out comes a strong recommendation to go and see this amazing singer and her even more amazing band in case they play near you - especially the drummer - or buy this CD and just enjoy a quality piece of new music.
