this section seems to become rather something of a retrospective as the recommendations tend to be as old as the internet. strangely enough i got back into many old albums in the past few months and there is no reason to hold them back but share those jewels with you. One for All is the debut album by east-coast hip hop group Brand Nubian. it was released on Elektra Records on december 4, 1990. the album was highly acclaimed for its politically charged and socially conscious content. unfortunately or maybe fortunately sales never matched the wide acclaim—the album has only sold 350,000 copies to date—but it has remained in print since its 1990 release. it has everything a good hip hop album needs, soul, beats, groove and lyrics. love it (if only for the cover shot) or leave it, i love it!
