this is one might sound unusual, but i have been a keith jarrett fan since i first listened to his legendary köln concert. his live appearances are rare and the output usually depends on the vibe, but apparently after the concert in rio he called his producer, said “i think we got something here” and he wasn’t wrong. another masterpiece by the us piano wizard!
for me there was doubt, though there were many very good releases last year. dixon’s edition of the “live at robert johnson” has yet again proven, why he is one of the best dj’s in the world. an epic journey from beginning to end and a must have!
just one thing at the end of the year: thanks for joining, giving feedback and enjoying the music. that’s what it’s all about. hope you and your folks have a great christmas, NYE and a good start into 2012.

it’s always easy to recommend a new album, because there are so many good ones out there nowadays (amongst billions of pretty shite ones). that is why i try to go way back in time these days to present a band to you, which probably not many of know about. jingo de lunch was - and still is - one of the best underground punk rock/hardcore bands of the late 80s and beginning of 90s. in my opinion only the first three albums (not counting that mini album from 1988 now) are the real deal. axe to grind is one of them. this is proper guitar music, which i can only recommend!

listened to a few albums this morning and one of them was the old album from the distillers named coral fang (one of my favorite albums anyway). very nice punk rock album i came across in a local fashion shop one day. so i checked what was up with the band these days, but as many bands they had already split up. at least the key members have sticked together and formed a new group, which i would like to recommend today. they are called spinnerette and the album as well. check it out - pure punk rock pleasure.
weather is dreadful, so at least it is not that much of a hassle to work a bit more these days. summer is officially over (or has never been here) therefore i cannot wait for winter and some special holiday even though it still feels like ages to go. i tried to put together a few tunes to enjoy the time in the office, in the car, running or anywhere else a bit more. hope you like it and if so, make sure you leave some feedback here….
